Hinds County Human Resource Agency is hiring TRANSIT DRIVERS in Jackson!As the only Community Action Agency in Hinds County, Mississippi, Hinds County Human Resource Agency (HCHRA) has strived to lift its citizens out of poverty conditions through an assortment of services since 1976.
The Transit Driver is responsible for transporting program participants from rural areas of Hinds County to various destinations within Hinds County in accordance with applicable guidelines and regulations of the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT).
Transports program participants to social services agencies, shopping, medical appointments, recreational activities, and other personal destinations.
Delivers meals to program participants in their home once a week.
Completes passenger trip logs specifying the number of passengers, type and number of trips taken and trip purposes.
Performs routine preventative maintenance and daily maintenance checks on assigned vehicle.
Attends all annual training in accordance with the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) mandatory training requirements.
Qualifications Must possess a valid Mississippi Commercial Driver's License with P Endorsement.
High school diploma or GED.
Applicant must submit to and pass drug screening tests.
