Hinds County Human Resource Agency is hiring HEAD START TEACHERS for our locations in Jackson!As the only Community Action Agency in Hinds County, Mississippi, Hinds County Human Resource Agency (HCHRA) has strived to lift its citizens out of poverty conditions through an assortment of services since 1976.
The Teacher is responsible for planning and organizing; implementing activities; record keeping and reporting; supervising and guiding; training; and supporting and collaborating to ensure the delivery of comprehensive services to children enrolled in the Head Start program.
Incumbents are expected to provide all children, including those with disabilities, with a safe, nurturing, engaging, enjoyable, and secure learning environment.
Prepares and implements daily plans, schedules, and activities.
Plans for field trips in accordance with program schedules.
Makes a minimum of two (2) scheduled home visits per child, per program year.
Qualifications:
AA Degree OR Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with at least one (1) year of experience working with preschool children Must pass Criminal Background and Child Abuse Central Registry checks.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
