Responsibilities:
Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
Must be able to read measuring devices such as tape measure.
Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, rivets, or fasteners.
Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
Operates hand tools or portable power tools to assist in assembly operation.
Use rivet and other machines for force fitting and fastening operations.
May be assigned to different work stations as production needs require.
