This position is for our 1st shift (7:
00 AM - 3:
30 PM, shift varies).

The Clerk, Material receives, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products within the plant floor areas.
What you will do:
Observes and follows all safety rules Must be willing and able to work overtime as an extension to a normal workday or on weekends, as scheduled Initiates purchase requisitions for materials and supplies as needed Verifies material received against requisition, shipping notices, or invoices Completes records concerned with quantity and type of material received, stored, and issued in the plant Uses handheld scanner to enter records Reads production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping notices, or invoices to determine irregularities Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to the designated areas Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, and color or product code Fills work orders or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves Conveys order to packing station or shipping department Marks materials with identifying information Opens bales, crates, and other containers Records amounts of material or items received or distributed Weighs or counts items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards Operates material handling equipment to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations within the plant for shipment Prepares parcels for mailing and shipping Maintains inventory records Maintain work area to sustain a clean and orderly environment May train other operators Additional Qualifications Include:
High school diploma or GED is required and 3 months of related experience and/or training Must score Silver or higher on NCRC/Work Keys exam.
Must be able to operate material handling equipment such as forklift, overhead crane, motorized pallet jacks, or manual pallet jacks Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers Basic skill level of computer programs such as Microsoft Office are highly desirable Hunter Fosters a Culture of:
